VERBS   1995 - 2000

In the late 1990’s I began using verbs to title my pieces. The emphasis in the work gradually shifted from observing to being, and the element of time compacted from years (as suggested in the contemplative table tops) to dissected seconds. These verb pieces attempt to describe an immediate experience or occurrence, a simple action, or a state of being. The language remains non-verbal and the disparate parts of these pieces join with each other, not physically, but through thought.
